The face of the show and the person the crew looks to. You run the boat, carry the story and share in what the show earns.

Filming and production

Filming and production are planned for late 2027 and 2028. Start dates follow the purchase of the season's vessel and are confirmed in writing before anyone travels.

What you do

• Command the vessel and crew on every passage, with the final word on safety, weather and routing.
• Plan the coastal route around seasons, ports of entry and current security advisories.
• Handle clearance in and out of each country together with the production.
• Front the stream: passages, landfalls, dive days and life aboard.
• Sell and lead dive trips, berth stays and film spots, and share in the revenue you bring in.

What you bring

• A recognised skipper's certificate for the vessel and sea area, such as RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore or a national equivalent, with a commercial endorsement (or the flag state's equivalent) for legs that carry paying guests.
• A marine radio operator's certificate (SRC or GMDSS).
• Current first aid at sea, STCW Basic Safety Training and a seafarer medical (ENG1 or equivalent) for commercial legs.
• Real coastal and liveaboard experience.
• Dive credentials (divemaster or above) are a strong plus.
• A passport with plenty of validity and the ability to obtain visas along the route.

How you are engaged

Through your own business (sole trader, company or loan-out company) as an independent professional. You invoice, handle your own taxes in your country of residence and carry your own skipper's liability insurance.

A percentage of the show's streaming revenue, set in the season agreement, plus your share of the dive trips, berths and film spots you sell. The contract runs for the voyage, one season at a time.
