Somewhere in New York, a jury sat down, watched an aged demigod claw his way out of the Underworld and into the twenty-first century, and reached the only reasonable verdict: give that man a trophy.

Movie Poster: Achilles Returns

George Tounas has won the Silver Award for Best Actor in a Fantasy Film at the Best Actor & Director Awards, New York (2026), for his performance as Achilles in Achilles Returns. He also wrote the film. And directed it. And produced it. We assume he sleeps, but we have no evidence.

New York Keeps Doing This

This is not a fluke, it is a pattern. This is the third year running that this New York festival has sent George home with Best Actor hardware: Silver in 2024 for Reloaded 2, Bronze in 2025 for City Rush 4, and now Silver again in 2026 for Achilles Returns. Three years. Three trophies. At some point the engraver just keeps the stencil.

The Film New York Fell For

The premise is exactly as advertised: after long negotiations between Zeus and Hades, with a decisive assist from Thetis, an aged Achilles is released from the Underworld into the modern world. Nobody is ready. Least of all the modern world.

Achilles Returns was produced by George Tounas Films in cooperation with PPM Film Production, with ZonKlast Studios proudly serving as assistant producer. And the award is not travelling alone: the film also landed an Official Selection for Best Film at Lift-Off Sessions in London this year, a credit shared with the film's executive and associate producers. Yes, we are in that lineup. No, we will not be humble about it.

Watch the Performance the Jury Watched

Achilles Returns is available now on Gumroad, with wider distribution rolling out. Watch it, then tell us the Silver was not earned. (You won't.) Full details on the film's IMDb page.

Congratulations, George. The myths gave Achilles exactly one weakness. The jury couldn't find it.
